Good Old William H. Brett

Few folks, even collectors, remember William H. Brett. A Cleveland native, President Eisenhower appointed him the 29th Director of the United States Mint where he presided over the end of the classic commemorative series, the introduction of the Lincoln Memorial cent, and the minting of an ever swelling number of coins for a growing U.S. economy. Thanks to the net, though, Mr. Brett lives on in a YouTube video of a long ago appearance on the old, old game show What’s My Line? Take a quick trip back to 1956 as Mr. Brett tries to stump the panel.
