Early U.S. Commemoratives at April 7th Meeting

Our presentation for our monthly meeting on April 7th will consist of a group discussion and show and tell on early United States Commemorative Coins lead by the club’s officers. Starting in 1892 and running through 1954, the early commemoratives are a fascinating series, both for the coins themselves and the often dubious self-interest that led to their issuance. If you want to do some homework in advance of the meeting, CoinSite has an interesting article here , and the American Numismatic Association has another quality effort here. Read up, and remember to bring your Columbians, Boones, Oregon Trails, and Booker T.’s to our April 7th meeting.
